The North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners recently created the video, “Qualifying to Sit for the Uniform CPA Exam as a North Carolina Candidate.” The video discusses the general requirements (age, residency, education, and moral character) for sitting for the Exam as a North Carolina candidate. AICPA’s Digital CPA Exam Booklet
The AICPA’s CPA Exam Team just launched an all-new Digital CPA Exam Booklet, which replaces the print version. The Digital CPA Exam Booklet provides valuable information to students, exam candidates, educators, and other stakeholders in a new interactive platform, which highlights:
- The benefits of pursuing a career as a CPA
- Who’s who in the CPA licensure process
- Eligibility, applying for, and scheduling the CPA Exam
- The upcoming changes in 2024 for CPA Evolution

Fellowships
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director’s Financial Analyst (DFA) Program
A highly selective, two-year rotational fellowship designed to engage young professionals in meaningful public service work. Each year, the CFPB hires a new cohort of Director’s Financial Analysts to gain a unique experience working alongside senior policymakers and researchers to help make financial markets work better for all.
Director’s Financial Analysts utilize their analytical capabilities to support initiatives including, but not limited to, research, benchmarking, comparative analysis, data analysis, problem solving, collaboration, and project management. DFAs will complete two, year-long rotations in various offices gaining an understanding of the CFPB’s mission and work through exposure to multiple policy areas of a mission-driven agency.

Social Innovation Fellows
The Social Innovation Fellows is an award-winning co-curricular program open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students from every college at NC State. Fellows must commit to one year of working on teams of peers with mentors, entrepreneurial experts, and local and international social enterprises. Fellows will also have access to up to $1,500 in personal enrichment funding for additional engagement in social innovation/social entrepreneurship activities.

This is an innovation challenge where students identify a problem or challenge on NC State’s Campus and pitch their innovative solution to a panel of Deloitte & NC State Leaders. This opportunity is open to all NCSU students, from freshman to seniors and all majors and disciplines! ASPSA is currently specifically in need tutors in accounting, economics, and other business courses.

Qualifications for all positions:
- Must have at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average,
- Demonstrate proficiency in coursework and/or have received a B+ or higher in the courses selected to tutor.
- Must abide by North Carolina State University, NCAA and ASPSA rules and regulations.
- Must be able to teach academic success strategies to a diverse student population in a one-on-one or small group setting. Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and have skills to develop written reports.
- Must be attentive to detail and accurate in record keeping.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Preference can be given to individuals who have tutoring experience or other educational qualifications.
- Preference is given to individuals who are a sophomore or higher standing.
