Dear Alumni and Friends of Poole College,
Happy Anniversary! It has been a tremendous year of celebration at NC State, commemorating the 125th anniversary of the university, the 20th Anniversary of the Poole College of Management and the 10th Anniversary of our Jenkins MBA program. I am honored to be a part of the vibrant, loyal and passionate Wolfpack family at the Poole College during this special time in our history. As you peruse this year’s edition of the State of the College, I know you will also marvel at the tremendous progress we continue to make, working together to move our college and university forward.
Our ranking in the top 18% of accredited business schools in the nation by US News and World Report reflects the growing recognition that our academic programs prepare our graduates for careers in all the traditional disciplines of business, as well as what differentiates us from other business schools. We are proud of and thankful for the alumni, friends and corporate partners who have helped us get to where we are today.
This powerful network that you comprise provides our students, staff and faculty with access to business professionals throughout North Carolina, across the country and around the world, including top executives working at Fortune 500 companies, successful entrepreneurs, community leaders and dedicated volunteers. Together, our collective impact is transforming student lives, shaping cutting-edge management research, and providing programs and projects that strengthen our graduates’ and partner companies’ abilities to innovate and navigate in a challenging, global economy. You are making a difference!
These important activities made possible by the Poole College community substantially contribute to the student experience, and also build visibility for NC State. They also reinforce our strong partnership with industry and the community who benefit from the energy, enthusiasm and dedicated hard work of all of our students, graduate and undergraduate alike. Our Board of Advisors, our corporate recruiters, and many others who contribute their time, expertise, financial support and encouragement are helping us build upon a strong foundation of excellence.
Thank you for taking part in this exciting journey. As an alumnus, or a corporate friend, there is a rich variety of opportunities for you to share your own unique perspective, experience and knowledge with fellow graduates, faculty, business leaders and current students, while also learning from others. My team, in partnership with our colleagues, is continually developing and refining programs that bring alumni and business executives together to support one another in their professional and personal endeavors, and to guide younger alumni and students in defining and achieving their goals.
