Hamilton Scholars’ Fundraiser Underway

The Alexander Hamilton Scholars at NC State, a dual degree program between the Poole College of Management and College of Humanities and Social Sciences, is hosting its second Annual Spring Raffle fundraiser.

The Hamilton Scholars program gives students the opportunity to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or economics as well as a second bachelor’s degree in international studies.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser support Hamilton Scholar events at NC State and overseas. Those who purchase tickets, which cost $1 each, will have a chance at a number of prizes, to be awarded March 18.

Hamilton Scholar students are selling raffle tickets from Monday, February 21st, until Wednesday, March 16th.

The Hamilton Scholars members also will have a table in the Nelson Hall Student Commons area and will periodically be available for raffle ticket sales there starting on February 28th. On March 2nd, they will have a booth in the Brickyard where they will offer lemonade to those who purchase at least two tickets.

The fundraiser offers three grand prize packages, as follows.

  • First place: a round of golf for four, including golf cart rental, at The Lonnie Poole Golf Course on NC State’s Centennial Campus, as well as a $100 Visa gift card.
  • Second place: a picnic tote, with a Taste Carolina Food Tour gift certificate for two and a $50 Visa gift card.
  • Third place: a $25 Edible Arrangements gift card and a $25 Visa gift card.

The Hamilton Scholars have a goal of selling 850 tickets by March 16, said Sarah Watkins. Fundraising chair. “The raffle from spring of last year was such a success and we hope this year’s will be even more successful in raising funds for our program.”, she said.
