Jenkins MBA Program Launching New Dual Degree with Biomanufactuirng in Fall 2011

The new graduate degree option will allow students to obtain both a master’s degree in biomanufacturing and an MBA in two years, explains Dr. Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs in Poole College’s Jenkins Graduate School.

Designed to prepare its graduates to work as managers in the biomanufacturing industry, the BIOMdegree will combine biomanufacturing courses with bioscience-focused MBA courses taught by Poole College’s Jenkins Graduate School faculty. Students selected for the BIOM/MBA program will take biomanufacturing courses in one year, and MBA courses with a biosciences management concentration in the second year while working towards graduation requirements. The curriculum will include a summer internship in a related industry and concentrated introductory courses in accounting, finance and project management.
