Online Judging Begins Today for Poole College’s Team in Accounting Case Competition

Judging begins at noon on Monday, Nov. 14, for the 10 semi-finalist student teams across the country in this year’s fraud and forensics case competition sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The NC State Poole College of Management’s team – ‘Wolfpack in the Black’ – is one of the teams aiming for the finals when the top three teams will compete for a $10,000 team prize.

Each team has submitted a video and will be lobbying classmates, friends, relatives, alumni – anyone interested – to view the videos and vote for the one presenting the best solution to a complex problem: how to comply with anti-fraud regulations while trying to beat the competition in a new overseas market.

Details about the competition are on the AICPA website. The top three finalists will be announced on Nov. 23. The final round of the competition takes place on Dec. 16 in Washington, D.C., with the winners announced on Dec. 17.

Check back after noon today at the AICPA competition website to view the team videos and cast your vote.

In the meantime, read how Alan Perry, ‘Wolfpack in the Black’ team captain, describes the competition process thus far.
