Poole College Announces New Professional MBA Program

The Jenkins MBA program in the North Carolina State University Poole College of Management is now offering a new Professional MBA that will make it possible for students to complete the academic program in as little as 21 months.

The new delivery format was announced today by Dr. Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research at NC State’s Poole College of Management; it will take effect with the fall 2013 semester.

“Our new Jenkins Professional MBA was developed to provide our current and prospective professional MBA students – those who are in the program while working full time – options for completing their MBA degree in a more efficient, cost-effective timeframe,” Allen said. Currently, MBA students in the part time or online program typically complete the program in 28 to 33 months.

Starting in the fall 2013 semester, students can select from two academic tracks, available in two platforms.

  • The Accelerated Professional track will allow students to complete the Jenkins MBA in as little as 21 months.
  • The Flexible Professional track is designed to allow students to complete the degree on their own schedule

Either track can be completed in-person on the NC State Campus in Raleigh or the NC State Jenkins MBA Program’s campus in Research Triangle Park, as well as in the NC State Jenkins Online MBA platform.

“These new program options are part of our commitment to continually improve the academic programs offered through the NC State Poole College of Management and to be responsive to changes in business and industry and student needs,” Allen said.
