Poole College has Seven Candidates in Tuesday’s Student Government Election

Student Government voting takes place Tuesday, Mar. 29, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Online voting and voting and other election details are available at vote.ncsu.edu.

Both SG presidential candidates from Poole College have leadership roles in Student Government. Bartlett, a junior in management, is Chief of Staff to Student Body President Kelly Hook. Thompson, a junior in economics with a minor in political science, serves as Traditions Commission Chair. Also running for SG president are Alex Compton, Alex Grindstaf, Max Kangkolo and Leo Verceles-Zera. Student Body President candidates run at-large.

Poole College also has five candidates running for Student Senate, to represent the Poole College of Management on NC State’s Student Government. Candidates for the Student Senate are elected by their peers within their college. Each elected senator serves a one year term and may stand for re-election as long as they are students at NC State. The number of senators representing each college is based on the college’s student population, similar to the population guidelines for allocating the number of U.S. House seats in the United States government, explains Lynn Clark, who has been re-elected as a SG senator since his first run as a freshman. Poole College’s Student Senate candidates are:

  • Lynn Clark, a senior in business administration
  • James Cronin, a junior in business administration
  • Kyle Hartman, a junior in economics
  • Dennis Martin, a senior in accounting
  • Adam Taylor, a junior in accounting
