Poole Party Offers a Chance to Explore the College’s Student Groups

Interested in getting more involved in your major – beyond the classroom projects?

Then put the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 15, on your calendar. That’s when the college’s Poole Council is hosting its Poole Party – a chance for students to meet and talk with members of the Poole College of Management’s student organizations. There are more than a dozen student clubs to choose from, and each offers opportunities for leadership development, and to network with professionals in your discipline.

The Poole Council – which includes representatives of each of the college’s student organizations – has arranged for raffles, gifts, food and fun activities, in addition to information about each of the organizations. They have not reported anything about an actual pool, though, but do encourage students to ‘Dive in … and get involved.’

The event is scheduled for 12 noon to 3 p.m. in the East Courtyard of Nelson Hall. In case of rain, the event will be held at the same time and location, on Thursday, Sept. 22.

The Poole Council is also recruitment members for the 2011-12 academic year. Students interested are encouraged to contact Dr. K. Leigh Forell in the Office of Undergraduate Programs.
