Students Encouraged to Prepare for Poole College’s Feb. 4 Career and Internship Fair

Career development workshop will be announced shortly, but in the meantime, students are encouraged to visit the college’s Spring Career Fair page to start researching the 60-plus employers who have already registered for the event, said Janet Rakes, career coach in the Poole College’s Office of Undergraduate Programs.

Employers who have not registered may do so online at the university’s Career Fair website for recruiters.

“We encourage recruiters from all industries, and all sizes of companies, to participate in our Feb. 4 career fair, whether they currently have open positions or not,” Rakes said. The Poole College of Management has masters’ and undergraduate degrees in accounting, business administration, and economics, as well as a Master of Global Innovation Management degree program.

“Meeting and forming professional relationships with our students is a tremendous way for recruiters to grow their pool of talented prospective recruits that they can contact when they are ready to begin hiring again,” she said.

“Similarly, we encourage all our students – from across NC State, as well as our alumni and current students at other universities – to participate in this career fair,” Rakes said, “so that participating companies can meet with a diverse group of talented individuals, with varying skills sets.”

Students or employers are encouraged to contact Rakes for additional information about the February 4 career fair or the upcoming student workshops.
