“For introductory students, I provide perspective on the best practices and the best companies in supply chain across a wide range of industries. I can help them understand the tools, concepts and terminology that will allow them to start their business careers with real world knowledge. “

In my 13 years at Accenture, a global consulting firm, I worked on supply chain projects for clients in over 40 states and seven countries.

I was fortunate to be able to lead engagements across a wide variety of industries including beverages, glass, technology, finance, energy and education, and am excited to be at the NC State College of Management to teach what I had learned to a new generation.

For introductory students, I provide perspective on the best practices and the best companies in supply chain across a wide range of industries. I can help them understand the tools, concepts and terminology that will allow them to start their business careers with real world knowledge.

In the more advanced supply chain courses, students work on case studies drawn on real life projects from my Accenture experience. In a classroom environment, they get to work on data and information to solve problems and issues that real world clients experienced.

Their answers are compared against the actual solutions that were implemented. Through the college’s Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC), I teach a class in which student teams work on company-sponsored supply chain project over the 15-week semester.

They tackle issues such as improving forecasting accuracy and reducing inventory and are exposed to new technologies, such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Some of the students end up getting jobs with the sponsoring company after graduation, demonstrating that our students coming out of the supply chain concentration ready for the real world.
