Tuition

Tuition Differences Between Main and RTP Campuses--Register for Your Campus'  Section Number:

To accommodate the different tuition schedules facing different groups of students, there will be two sections of elective courses set up for registration purposes; however, courses will meet in only one location, as listed in the MBA course schedule.

Full-time Students and Part-time Students Based at Main Campus:

Register for sections that begin with a "0" (e.g. MBA 523.001).

Part-time Students Based at RTP:

Register for sections that begin with a "6" (e.g. MBA 523.601) most of the time. Depending on your total credit hours for the semester, your tuition MAY be less if you register for the Main Campus section. Please review the Main Campus and RTP tuition schedules in order to register for the section that reduces your tuition the most.

Don’t Send That Email
Instructor: Trunzo
Dates: TBA
Suggested area of emphasis: General Elective
Course Description: (from Spring 2013) This is not the required English course you took as an undergrad, or a review of grammar rules and letter formats. This is a practical exploration of the kinds of communication we need to do every day in the workplace. Considering that professionals spend the majority of their time in the job communicating, it makes sense that understanding audience analysis, persuasive language, short burst writing, revision, collaborative authoring, and other relevant topics becomes a critical asset for career success.  Most, if not all, of the written communication we do in the workplace takes on a digital format; even administrative writing, such as status reports, is handled through email. Being able to effectively and concisely convey your message streamlines discussions, and avoids a lot of the waste we so often see when poor communication and information pollution causes unnecessary churn. We will also explore more peripheral digital media avenues, such as Twitter and Facebook, as additional content mechanisms that can have a business impact. You will leave this workshop with practical lessons you can put to use as quickly as the time it takes for you to write your next email!
