A REPUTATION FOR EXCELLENCE

Our competitive admissions process and restricted class size ensure that students have the opportunity to interact with faculty and exchange ideas with other outstanding business students. Working in teams with other area professionals, students explore a variety of business issues and acquire the skills essential to being a successful leader in a rapidly changing global business climate.

In addition to completing core courses in the basics of management, part-time MBA students select electives and specialized concentrations including biotechnology-pharmaceuticals management, technology entrepreneurship & commercialization, information technology management, marketing management, production innovation management, supply chain management, and financial management.

A PART-TIME MBA PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONALS

The part time MBA program is designed so that students can complete all coursework within 21 months through the accelerated track. Students may also choose the flexible track and complete courses part time within 6 years. Courses are offered on weekdays from either 6:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., depending on the credit hours, and meet once per week. Classes are held in Nelson Hall on the NC State campus in Raleigh and on our campus in Research Triangle Park. Professional MBA students generally travel to campus two nights a week for class and may choose to take one-credit hour weekend courses. Professors are accessible before & after class, during breaks, and by email & phone.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

The knowledge and skills you will acquire as a Professional MBA student can have an immediate impact on your own work and open new doors for career advancement. Many part time students receive promotions from their employers and accept new challenges with their organizations.

For students looking to make a career or company change, assistance is available. Unlike most MBA programs, we do not restrict Professional students from using our career services resources. Our Professional students have complete access to our Career Resources Center for their job search and employment counseling needs.
