2 Degrees, 1 Year

The Master of Global Innovation Management (MGIM) is a global dual degree jointly delivered by the Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management – IAE, part of Aix Marseille University (France) and Poole College of Management – Jenkins Graduate School– North Carolina State University – NCSU (USA). The scope of this global program is broadened thanks to the collaboration of the School of Management of Zhejiang University – ZJU (China).

Upon successful of the MGIM program, students earn two master’s degrees in Global Innovation Management, one from NC State and the second from the AMGSM – IAE.

Students complete a total of 33 credit hours (66 ECTS) over two semesters (10 months). Plus, students can opt to complete an optional summer experience in China or India. The MGIM program structure incorporates an Innovation Project throughout. In each project phase, students are expected to accomplish specific activities and deliver specific outputs. The courses and workshops are scheduled in order to provide students with the required concepts, methods and tools according to an appropriate timing.

Road to MBA

Students who earn the dual master degree in Global Innovation Management from NC State and AMGSM – IAE can earn their MBA from NC State Jenkins Graduate School of Management after completing just one additional year of full-time study. Full-time MBA students are eligible to apply for financial aid in the form of graduate assistantships or scholarships. Admission to the MBA program is not guaranteed. MGIM students applying to enter the Jenkins MBA will complete a separate application during their last semester of MGIM.

A*MIDEX Excellence Academy

In 2014, the MGIM program was awarded with the “Excellence Academy “ Label from A*MIDEX Foundation. The A*MIDEX Foundation, AMU, aims, within the framework of the national program “Investissements d’Avenir”, to prepare the future by building one of the best sites in research and higher education worldwide. It created the Excellence Academy label to develop and give better visibility to the most innovative and attractive training programs of the Aix-Marseille site.


NC State Poole College of Management (home to Jenkins Graduate School of Management) is accredited by AACSB International. AMGSM – IAE is accredited by AMBA and EQUIS.
