Off-Campus Transfers

At NC State University’s Poole College of Management, transfer students have the option to apply directly into the academic area of their choice.Within each of our degree options, students are able to personalize their program by choosing a concentration or focus area.  The academic majors include:

Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Concentrations available in:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Concentrations available in:

  • Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Information Technology

Economics

Degree options include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Economics
  • Bachelor of Arts in Economics
  • Bachelor of Science in Economics – Business Concentration

Students interested in international business should explore the Alexander Hamilton Scholars Program (dual degree in a Poole College of Management major and International Studies in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences).

All Poole College students take general education courses as a part of their program.  Each major also includes a number of elective credits, allowing students to choose freely from a variety of course offerings around campus.

Students in the Poole College will develop teamwork and problem-solving skills and gain real-world experience through project-based courses. In addition, our faculty weave the latest information technologies into their lectures in order to prepare our students to manage in a technology-rich world.

Real Guidance

Academic advisors meet with students to guide them as they develop their academic plan. Freshmen are encouraged to take advantage of the Peer Leader mentor program, which pairs incoming students with upperclassmen.

The college's Career Development staff provides career coaching, interview training and networking opportunities to prepare our students to enter the job market.

Real Involvement

While at NC State, we encourage all students in the Poole College of Management to get involved in clubs, organizations, study abroad, internships, career counseling, guest lectures and social events.
