Paying for College at NC State

We understand that the cost of a college education is a major financial commitment for families.  For help making your experience affordable, see the information below:

University Scholarships and Financial Aid

A wide range of university-wide financial aid support is available to NC State students. This includes academic merit awards, need-based scholarships, grants, loans and work-study programs. Please visit the University’s Scholarships & Financial Aid website for more details.

Poole College of Management Scholarships

Through the generous support of alumni, friends and corporate partners, the Poole College of Management offers a limited number of highly competitive scholarships to our current and incoming students.   Scholarship amounts can range from $1.000 - $5,000 per year and many are renewable.

Incoming Freshmen

The Poole College of Management offers a limited number of scholarships to incoming freshmen based on the academic credentials on file with the Admissions Office.   Students must have applied for admission by the November 1 application deadline in order to be considered.  There is not a separate application for these scholarships and the selection process is highly competitive.  As most of the scholarships require demonstrated financial need in addition to academic merit, students must complete their FASFA and submit it to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at NC State University by March 1.  The Poole Scholarship Committee will notify students April if they will receive an Incoming Freshmen Scholarship.

Current Students

The Poole College of Management recognizes academic achievement with a limited number of highly competitive scholarships for continuing students to encourage their ongoing success.  The Poole Scholarship Committee determines students who are eligible to apply for various scholarships each year based on academic criteria and in some cases financial need status.  Eligible students will receive an email from inviting them to apply for particular scholarships.  This process typically takes place in the spring semester, but can happen at any time throughout the year.
