North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners<\/strong> David was brought onto the Board staff as Deputy Director beginning August 1, 2012; and was promoted to Executive Director effective January 1, 2022.\u00a0 During his time at the Board, his responsibilities have included overseeing financial activities and the preparation of monthly financial statements for Board review; oversight of personnel activities; involvement with both the CPA examination and licensing processes; and technical involvement with the Board\u2019s professional standards section in reviewing disciplinary matters.\u00a0 He previously worked 30+ years as an audit manager for the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor (OSA).<\/span><\/p>\n The seeds for an accounting career were planted in high school when working for his father, James D.
