For 24 hours, we’ll have special challenges, college-on-college competitions and surprise guests — all in the name of supporting the university and the college. It will be a fun, energizing way to come together and maximize our collective impact.

Let’s win the challenges to generate critical funding for high-impact scholarships, research, academic programs and so much more. Your investment makes an immediate impact on student success, faculty research and scholarship, organizational excellence and local and global engagement.

Poole Challenges

Poole Pack’s Push to Start Day of Giving Strong: 200 gifts by 10 a.m.

Let’s start Day of Giving off right by showing our competitors in the White Division how Poole College plans to lead the pack throughout the day.

Make a gift between 9 and 10 a.m. to help Poole College secure $2,500 from the Chancellor and help us reach our goal of 200 gifts by 10 a.m.

The Future of the Pack Challenge: Stafford Commons and Nelson Hall Port City Java, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Join in the biggest event for Day of Giving with food, music, special guests and t-shirts. The college with the most student gifts in person at Stafford Commons wins $7,000 in challenge funds. Amplify your gift by making it in person!

Can’t make it to Stafford Commons? Have questions about Day of Giving? Stop by the Poole Student Philanthropy Council table in Nelson Hall to learn more and make your gift.

The Campens Challenge an Extraordinary Goal: 12:01 a.m. – 7 p.m., Online

With a generous $50,000 challenge, Henry and Ellen Campen charge the Poole Pack to surpass our 2019 Day of Giving total number of gifts by exceeding 674 gifts by 7 p.m.

Alumni, want to help win additional funds? Make a gift between 6 and 7 p.m. to put Poole College in the running for an additional $2,500 from the Chancellor.

Why Should I Give to Poole?

Gifts to the Poole College of Management change lives. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Poole College donors, our college continues to develop business leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset and analytical problem solving skills, generate impactful business research and serve our communities.

Student Success

  • Over 1,000 graduate and undergraduate students received scholarship support since 2016.
  • Poole Leadership Challenge helps students build core competencies.
  • The Bell Family Foundation focused their support on career services with a significant gift to impact how Poole College guides current and future students in identifying and securing their career paths.

Faculty and Scholarships

  • Poole College is able to recruit the nation’s top scholars and industry experts as represented in our 2019 new faculty.
  • Alumnus Matt Hong (‘94) sought to honor his father, Donald Hong, by establishing an endowment to support the high caliber faculty needed to teach our Poole College students.
  • Nine Poole College faculty received awards for summer research in 2019 in recognition of outstanding research productivity of tenured and tenure-track faculty in top tier journals.

Organization Excellence and Resource Development

  • Gifts have contributed to building a culture of inclusivity and respect which resulted in Poole College receiving recognition by the University for Excellence in Diversity.
  • To allow for resources to expand to the entire college, Poole College created an Office of Global Programs from the department initially focused on facilitating undergraduate student participation in study abroad programs.
