Heidi brings more than 30 years of executive management experience in a variety of challenging environments working in Financial Services, Media and Investment Management.  Until June 2015, she was East Region President at US Bank, Private Client Reserve.  In this role, she led a team of wealth management professionals providing investment management, private banking, trust and estate services and financial planning to clients in New York, Boston-NY-Washington DC corridor, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida. Prior to this role, Heidi was an advisory director at Berkshire Capital Securities, President of Worth Magazine and President of Lowenhaupt Global Advisors, LLC.

In addition, Heidi spent 18 years as EVP at Neuberger Berman, directly responsible for the wealth management business.  Over her tenure there, she grew the business to 70% of the firm’s revenues, leading to the initial public offering of the company in 1999 and its sale to Lehman in 2003.

Heidi is a seasoned operating executive with experience serving on corporate boards of both public and private companies.  Currently, she is on the board of Fidelity Strategic Advisors where she chairs the audit committee. She has also served on the boards of AmerUS, Aviva USA, Nuclear Electric Insurance Ltd., CIFG, Eaton Vance mutual funds, and Neuberger Berman.

Heidi was formerly on the Chairman’s Council, Whitney Museum; Business Committee, Metropolitan Museum of Art; Acquisitions Committee, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, National Advisory Board, Walker Art Museum; board member, Women’s Forum; Committee of 200; and, board member, Accion East.  Currently she sits on the board of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) where she chairs the audit committee; and, the Global Luxury Management Industry Advisory Board of North Carolina State University/Skema (Paris).

Heidi is the Editor of Wealthy & Wise: Secrets About Money, published in 2002 and voted by Barron’s “as one of the best investment books of the year.”  

Heidi earned an MBA in Finance from Columbia University, and a BA in English and Communications from Boston College, graduating summa cum laude and elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.  She received her certification as a Chartered Life Underwriter from American College.

Heidi was born in Boston, but now resides in Florida as well as New York City, and is married to Charles Ranson.  She has two grown children.
