Why did you choose the NC State GLAM program for your graduate education?
I loved the opportunity to travel abroad and focus on a highly specific industry.
How did your experience in the program contribute to your professional achievements and successes?
I learned that I had a passion for experiential and transportation luxury and now I work in the Yachting industry.
What did you enjoy most about your time in the GLAM program?
Constantly new experiences.
What are your lasting impressions of the GLAM program?
Good young program with room to grow into greatness. I hope the opportunities in other areas besides personal luxury has grown.
What advice would you give for prospective and current students who are interested in your industry/profession?
It’s very hard to get into the industry but once you are in, it is very welcoming. The yachting industry is small with many branches. If you can find a niche you can get in.
Could you give a brief explanation of your current line of work, and what has led you to it?
I work in Yacht Management on the accounts side. I pay the invoices, crew payroll, and credit cards for our yachts. I also reconcile accounts and liaison with the captains. There is more too it, so feel free to contact me if you want more information.
