Frequently Asked Questions

Many of our IBDD students come in with a considerable amount of college credit and are therefore able to begin rigorous coursework at an upper level in their first semester at NC State. IBDD students are hard working, goal-oriented, and driven. From their first semester, they are put on a track to complete a significant amount of credit hours in only 2 short years.

No! Our international students are eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship for up to one (1) year after their graduation from NC State.

Our students are required to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of language proficiency for entry into the program. They must take a language placement exam and place into a 200-level or greater language course for their first semester.

Disclaimer: Italian track students are permitted to begin at a lower level if they have taken 4 years of the equivalent of Spanish or Latin in high school.

Our international students have demonstrated an intermediate to advanced proficiency in the English language. They have taken at least 2 semesters of courses entirely in English and are prepared to work in an English-speaking environment.

Our students can select a concentration in finance, marketing, supply chain, or human resources.
