{"id":2748,"date":"2022-01-20T16:37:07","date_gmt":"2022-01-20T16:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/poole.ncsu.edu\/global\/?page_id=2748"},"modified":"2023-01-17T14:34:44","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T14:34:44","slug":"refund-and-withdrawl-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/poole.ncsu.edu\/global\/study-abroad\/undergraduate-programs\/summer-programs\/refund-and-withdrawl-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Refund and Withdrawal Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The withdrawal policy for the summer study abroad programs managed by the Poole College of Management is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chart below indicates the student\u2019s financial responsibility should they withdraw from the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You are responsible for the $1,000 deposit at the time of commitment to the study abroad program and it is non-refundable.\u00a0<\/strong>The commitment deposit goes toward the total program cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-red-heading-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">Timeline of Student Withdrawal<\/th><th class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\"><strong>Amount of Program Cost Student is Financially Responsible to Pay<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">45 days to 90 days prior to program start date<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">25% of total program cost or $1,000 (whichever is greater)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">44 days to 15 days prior to program start date<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">50% of total program cost<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">14 days to 1 day prior to program start date<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">75% of total program cost<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">On or after the program start date<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">100% of total program cost<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption>*Once accepted to a program, students must confirm their commitment to go on the program through the PackAbroad online portal. Upon response through the portal, students are financially responsible for the non-refundable $375 commitment and application fee. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Per&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/policies.ncsu.edu\/regulation\/reg-07-55-03\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University regulation 07.55.03<\/a>, students have the right to file a&nbsp;<a title=\"appeal application\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/studentservices.ncsu.edu\/your-money\/bill\/refunds-and-reimbursements\/refunds-for-withdrawal\/\" target=\"_blank\">refund application<\/a>&nbsp;in the Student Accounts Section of the University Cashier\u2019s Office.&nbsp; The application must be substantiated by medical reasons, unexpected employment changes, death in the immediate family, or University error. The University will review the application and inform the student of the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The finances of all summer study abroad programs offered through the Poole College of Management are managed by the Poole Global Programs Office.
