The NC State Poole College of Management announces the appointment of Nichole Miller as assistant dean for the college’s Jenkins MBA program. Miller joined the program’s leadership team in October 2015, filling a vacancy created with the retirement of Pam Bostic, who had held that position for over 20 years.

The Jenkins MBA program includes online, full time and part time professional options with on-site programs at NC State’s main campus in Raleigh and a location in Research Triangle Park. In her new role, Miller provides leadership for the program’s professional staff, including oversight for admissions, advising and student affairs. She also participates in strategic planning and serves as chief of staff for the associate dean for graduate programs, among other responsibilities.

Miller previously was director of academic advising and student life at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, overseeing a broad range of services, programs and activities that support the end-to-end experience for the school’s full-time MBA students. She served in that role since 2008 and received the Students’ Choice Staff Award in 2011. She also held leadership roles for the school’s health sector management program.

Prior roles included research manager for the Duke University Medical Centers’ division of clinical informatics and admissions coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s adult continuing education services office. She began her career in higher education in the university registrar’s office at NC State.

“We are very pleased to welcome Nichole to the NC State Jenkins MBA program and Poole College,” said Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research at Poole College. “She brings a depth of experience in graduate management student services that will assure the Jenkins MBA program continues to provide a high quality experience for our students.”

Miller received her bachelor of arts cum laude in psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her master of science in higher education and educational administration from The Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester. She lives in Durham with her husband and son and is a volunteer in the North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Association.
