The NC State Poole College of Management is launching a speaker series as part of its Sustainability Initiative, which was established earlier this year to advance sustainability as a set of decision challenges balancing financial, social and environmental returns.

Riva Krut, chief sustainability officer for Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 250 global industrial gases company, will be the series’ first speaker. Krut will speak at Poole College on October 14, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. in 1130 Nelson Hall, 2801 Founders Drive on the NC State University main campus in Raleigh, N.C. The Sustainability Initiative Industry Speaker Series will provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and the public to engage in an open dialogue with business executives, sustainability officers, innovators and thought leaders about pressing global sustainable business practices. The series is presented in partnership with the NC State Net Impact Chapter. This presentation is being co-hosted with NC State's College of Engineering

Krut's public talk is titled: "Sustainable productivity: generating Return on Capital and value to Praxair and the planet" and will be followed by a reception. The event is open to all students, faculty and staff at NC State and the general public.
