College Welcomes Exchange Students from 12 Countries

Helping them get acquainted with NC State and the College of Management are over a dozen Hamilton Scholars, an undergraduate dual degree program through which business students also earn a bachelor’s degree in international studies offered by NC State’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The exchange students are from colleges and universities in Australia, Austria, China, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Taiwan.

Through the foreign exchange program, students from academic institutions in other countries come to programs at NC State University for a semester or a year, and NC State students study abroad for a semester or a year. Each student pays normal tuition and trades places. In non-exchange programs, NC State students simply go abroad and pay the cost of the tuition set by the international institution.

Students interested in study abroad options may want to check out NC State’s Study Abroad website for details. Also, Michelle Koehler, advisor in the college’s Office of Undergraduate Programs, also is advisor for the college’s Hamilton Scholars and can discuss that program with undergraduate College of Management students interested in learning more it.
