About the ERM Initiative

The ERM Initiative was created in the NC State University Poole College of Management to meet a growing need among boards of directors and senior executives for methods and strategies that will help businesses manage all types of risks more effectively across the enterprise that might threaten the achievement of their strategic objectives. Faculty members affiliated with the ERM initiative develop and deliver executive education and academic courses in ERM for the college’s Jenkins Graduate School. ERM-affiliated faculty members conduct research in enterprise risk management. The initiative’s website, widely used by business professionals seeking to learn more about ERM, contains summaries of over 300 articles, thought papers, speeches, and research studies that are searchable by topic.
