Jenkins MBA is ranked No. 9 in Princeton Review’s list of best online MBA programs

NC State University’s Jenkins Professional Online MBA program has earned a No. 9 ranking on The Princeton Review’s new list naming the top 25 online MBA programs for 2017. View the ranking here

The top-10 MBA ranking is a move up from No. 20 in the Princeton Review’s 2015 ranking, which reflects NC State’s commitment to merging innovative ideas with purposeful action to deliver world-class management education.

The Princeton Review list is the first ranking of online MBA programs that is based on surveys of both administrators at the schools and of students enrolled in the schools’ online MBA programs. Data points were weighted in more than 60 unique fields to tally the final list. Criteria focused on five areas: academics, selectivity, faculty, technical platforms and career outcomes. A description of the methodology for the ranking can be found here

“In 2011, the NC State Poole College of Management was an early mover among accredited business schools to launch an online MBA program. Our focus on innovation, the management of technology, and entrepreneurship are at the foundation of our Jenkins MBA programs, so the decision was not only strategic, but natural,” said Annette L. Ranft, dean and Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. chair of NC State’s Poole College of Management.

“We are proud of the vision, leadership and hard work of our NC State community in building and growing this program which is now consistently ranked among the top online MBAs nationwide,” Ranft said Ranft said.

“We strongly recommend the NC State Jenkins MBA as an outstanding choice for anyone considering an online MBA,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review senior vice president and publisher. “Its program is exceptionally strong both academically and in the many ways it maximizes technology that enables students to interact with and learn from its superlative faculty and students all over the world.”

Franek noted that the survey showed a deep satisfaction with their online programs among students responding from the NC State Jenkins MBA and other schools on the 2017 list. “Ninety-four percent told us they believe their online MBA will have a positive impact on their careers,” he said.

The Princeton Review has published an annual Best Business Schools guide for 21 years, and, since 2005 included 11 categories of b-school ranking lists (largely based on student surveys) in that publication. It is accessible here
