Jenkins MBA Students Earn Second Place in ACG Competition

The five team members – Jessica Barnes, AJ Kramer, Adam Leath, Gulcin Menekse and Terry Munroe – competed in the case study competition designed to provide students from MBA programs with real world experience with mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity.

The Jenkins MBA team was honored for having the most polished presentation despite this being the MBA program’s first year to have a team in the competition. Teams from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Meredith College School of Business, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business, and Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Business also participated in the ACG Cup.

“According to one of the judges, it was a close call between the NC State Jenkins MBA team and the group of executive MBAs from Wake Forest,” said Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research at NC State University’s Poole College of Management, which includes the Jenkins Graduate School. “It is exciting to know that NC State’s team was so well-prepared, and we are proud to call them our own.”
