Keith D. Brouthers Receives Poole College’s Research Leadership award

Dr. Keith D. Brouthers, professor of innovation and entrepreneurship in the North Carolina State University Poole College of Management, received the college’s Research Leadership Award. Dr. Steve Allen, associate dean for research and graduate programs in the college, announced the recognition recently.

Brouthers was recognized for his excellence in research over the past two years, as reflected by the number of research publications and the quality of the journals in which he has been published, as well as his editorial service on academic journals and externally funded research.

In the past two years, Brouthers has had four journal articles published in leading management and business journals: Journal of Management Studies, Multinational Business Review, Journal of International Marketing, and Journal of World Business.

He has presented his research at four conferences and has received four awards for his research and reviews in the past two years. Included are the Best Paper Award from the Academy of International Business Conference and the China Goes Global 2009 Conference, in 2009, and the Best Gender Paper Award from the Academy of International Business, also in 2009.

Brouthers also has served on eight editorial boards, including the Journal of Management and Multinational Business Review, and received the Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of International Business Research in 2008.

He is listed as the number one scholar in his area in the International Business Review as well as other lists of top management and international business research scholars. His research has been cited over 2,000 times, with several papers being cited more than 100 times each, according to Google Scholar, a search engine that indexes scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. In addition, Brouthers has supervised two doctoral students as they completed their academic programs.
