NC State Professor Dick Kouri to Discuss Business Analytics at Innovation Forum

Kouri has extensive experience in North Carolina’s biosciences industry and is actively engaged in several of Poole College’s initiatives, including starting the bioscience management concentration in the college’s MBA Program, offered through its Jenkins Graduate School of Management.

At the Innovalyst Innovation Forum, Kouri will be presenting a case study on how business can tap into and manage the significant amounts of data available on public networks today. This case study is a result of ongoing work that members of the college’s Business Collaboratories network are performing on what is called “The Big Data Analytics Platform (BDAP).” BDAP accesses both structured and unstructured databases using the power of cloud computing and Kouri has played an integral role in its development. He will discuss the application’s development and how businesses can use it to their competitive advantage.

A second speaker at the forum will be Dr. Richard Lindberg, senior director of the NC Biotechnology Center’s BATON (Business Acceleration and Technology Out–Licensing Network) program. Lindberg will report on the program’s successes.

Cost of admission to the forum is $20 per person. For registration and other information, visit www.innovalyst.com/content/innovation+forum/9279.
