NC State SHRM Chapter receives Superior Merit Award

SHRM Superior Merit Award 2014-15The NC State student chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management based in Poole College received a superior merit award for providing exceptional growth and development opportunities to its student chapter members during the 2014-15 academic year. This award continues a history of strong chapter activity recognized by numerous superior merit awards over the years.  

In announcing this year's chapter awards, Susan Post, lead for SHRM’s student programs and SHRM's East Divisional Director, said, "These chapters, led by an inspiring and dedicated group of student volunteers and chapter advisors, truly represent the future of the HR profession. Their achievements, which go above and beyond their everyday academic and work commitments, is commendable, and we applaud the positive impact their efforts have on their schools, the local community and beyond. The future of HR shines bright knowing these students are among those leading the way.”

Chapters have the opportunity to earn an award based on the number of activities they complete during the merit award cycle, which last year ran from April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2015.
