NC State University’s Poole College Welcomes Karl Bovee, Jeff Ward to its Board of Advisors

The North Carolina State University Poole College of Management welcomed two new members to its Board of Advisors at its fall meeting held in Raleigh, N.C.

The new members are Karl Bovee, enterprise client coverage executive, Global Commercial Banking (GCB), Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Jeff Ward, central regional executive and vice president for First Citizens Bank, both of Charlotte, N.C.

Karl Bovee is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in finance with concentrations in accounting and marketing. In his current role with Bank of America Merrill Lynch,
Bovee is responsible for developing and managing an enterprise strategy to enable GCB to leverage business integration opportunities across the company. He lives in Charlotte, N.C., with his wife and son.

Jeff Ward earned both his bachelor’s degree in forestry and his master’s degree in economics from North Carolina State University. In his current role, Ward manages a network of 112 branches and more than 775 associates in First Citizens Bank’s central region. In addition, he supervises the company’s personal and business banking within the same region. Ward lives in Charlotte, N.C., with his wife and children.
