Net Impact Presenting Panel Discussion on Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility is the theme of this year’s symposium, entitled “Making Business Work for: People, Planet, and Profit.”

Panelists for the event are:

  • Bill Stevenson, director of social investments, Lenovo
  • Kristen Weeks, community relations manager, Cisco
  • Yola Carlough, director of sustainability, Burt’s Bees
  • Dana Yeganian, vice president and account director, Capstrat

“We also plan to showcase some of the work done by our student members with a a slide show presenting photos from MBA students’ activities during their alternative spring break trips to Peru and New Orleans this year, and their efforts in support of non-profit organization that helps a community in Kenya,” said Thomas Pash, a Net Impact officer and organizer of the symposium.

Two groups of MBA students are heading abroad for spring break this year, to help communities with their sustainable business development activities. Another group has been raising funds to help support the work of the non-profit organization, Sequoia Helping Hands, in Kenya. Read more about these activities.
