Online Judging Continues through Noon Nov. 21, for Poole College’s Accounting Case Competition Team

Judging continues through noon Monday, Nov. 21, for the 10 semi-finalist accounting student teams across the country in this year’s fraud and forensics case competition sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The NC State Poole College of Management’s team – ‘Wolfpack in the Black’ – is one of the teams aiming for the finals when the top three teams will compete for a $10,000 team prize.

Each team has submitted a video and is lobbying classmates, friends, relatives, alumni – anyone interested – to view the videos and vote for the one presenting the best solution to a complex problem: how to comply with anti-fraud regulations while trying to beat the competition in a new overseas market.

Details about the competition and the voting process are on the AICPA website. Once you cast your vote online, check your email for a confirmation message from the AICPA. Click the message to confirm your vote, and you’ve added a point in your team’s favor. The top three finalists will be announced on Nov. 23. The final round of the competition takes place on Dec. 16 in Washington, D.C., with the winners announced on Dec. 17.
