Poole College Accounting students offering free Income Tax Return prep service

Please go to this story for the 2016 schedule for the tax return assistance offered by NC State Poole College accounting student volunteers. Thank you.

Accounting students in the NC State Poole College of Management are providing free assistance in completing income tax returns for NC State University students and employees and area residents. This service is available to students and other individuals or households with a combined annual income not exceeding $58,000. Note that the tax preparation volunteers will not be able to assist those with nonresident alien status.

Assistance will be available from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the following Saturdays: February 8, February 22, March 22, and April 5, in B400 Nelson Hall, in the computer lab section of the building. Entrance to this area is at the southwest corner (campus side) of Nelson Hall, 2801 Founders Drive. That is at the corner of Hillsborough Street and Dan Allen in Raleigh, N.C.

Twenty-three accounting students are volunteering this year, using the myfreetaxes.com online resources, with guidance by accounting instructor Ernest Carraway.
