Poole College management faculty ranked 32nd for research productivity

The NC State Poole College of Management tied for 32nd place in an annual ranking of faculty research productivity among management departments in U.S. and Canadian universities. Doctoral students and faculty at Texas A&M University conduct the annual ranking of management faculty in business schools based on the number of research articles published in leading academic journals.

“Our management faculty in 2014 had five publications in top management journals," said Bradley Kirkman, Gen. (R.) H. Hugh Shelton Distinguished Professor of Leadership and head of the Department of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Poole College. Schools with similar research productivity include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Northwestern and the University of Virginia, he said.

“I am really proud of all the hard work and dedication that has gone into publishing in the very best journals in the field of management,” said Steve Allen, associate dean of graduate programs and research at Poole College.
