SCRC Bi-annual Meeting this Week

Among the featured presenters are supply chain management executives from SCRC partner companies, including BP, Nortel, Lenovo, John Deere, Bank of America, Ministry Health Care, and American Airlines.

The SCRC works closely with its partner companies to provide an exchange of knowledge and support that is useful to professionals in the supply chain industry. Students in the college’s undergraduate and graduate supply chain concentrations also benefit through involvement with the companies on team projects. Supply chain practitioners work with the students in the classroom, at the company site, and virtually on projects that make an impact at their companies.

The students’ project reports are a key part of the semi-annual meetings. Five MBA teams will report on their projects for SCRC partner companies on Dec. 4, and eight undergraduate teams will be reporting on their projects on Dec. 5.

The semi-annual meeting is also a time for the SCRC partner companies to discuss current issues affecting operations at their companies. This year, the practitioner and faculty presentations focus on the impact of the current global economic crisis. Following is the presentation schedule. The SCRC meeting is closed to SCRC member companies and the NC State College of Management community. Others interested in talking with the presenters on the topics below may contact Susan Clark, SCRC coordinator. She can be reached at 919.513.4488 or by email at susan_clark@ncsu.edu
