Sustainability for Business Advantage is Topic of Guest Lecture at Poole College

NC State Poole College is hosting a presentation by Chris Laszlo, an expert in using sustainability for business advantage, on Monday, April 29, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Nelson 2210.

Laszlo is an associate professor at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and co-founder of the firm, Sustainable Value Partners, LLC. The company is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has a European office in Paris, France.

Chris Laszlo, Ph.D., is an associate professor teaching sustainability, strategy and organizational behavior at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio. He also is the faculty research director of the Fowler Center for Sustainability Value at Case Western. His work over the last decade has helped launch mainstream management approaches to sustainability for value and profit. He is also the managing partner of Sustainable Value Partners, a sustainability strategy consulting firm he co-founded in 2002. In 2012, he was selected a “Top 100 Thought Leader in Trustworthy Business Behavior” by Trust Across America™.

His publications include Embedded Sustainability: the Next Big Competitive Advantage (2011) Stanford University Press, which he co-authored. His earlier books include Sustainable Value (2008), Stanford University Press, and The Sustainable Company (2003) and in  paperback (2005), Island Press.
