U.S. News & World Report ranks NC State Jenkins Online MBA a Top 10 program for veterans

U.S. News & World Report ranked the NC State Univeristyi Jenkins Professional Online MBA program No. 7 in its 2015 Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans.

This distinction follows another recent U.S. News & World Report top-10 ranking of the program, as it recognized NC State Jenkins as No. 9 in its 2015 Best Online MBA Programs, released in January. This represents the fourth top-20 ranking in the past year for NC State’s program (Bloomberg Businessweek No.9, Poets & Quants No. 17 and Princeton Review No. 20). Also noteworthy, Gartner ranks the Jenkins MBA supply chain concentration – a popular track among military students – no. 15 in the country.

This latest ranking was determined by a combination of factors, including reputation, affordability, accessibility and financial benefits specifically for those with military experience, among other elements. To be included, all schools must have been ranked among the top 75 percent in U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best Online Programs rankings (NC State Jenkins MBA placed at No. 9).

“Our overarching goal for the Jenkins MBA programs is to deliver an innovative, hands-on curriculum focused on real-world challenges faced by today’s businesses. While highly interactive, the Jenkins Online MBA's format also provides the utmost flexibility an online program can offer. This approach is well-suited for military backgrounds and we are proud of this recognition,“ said Ira Weiss, dean and Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Chair at the NC State Poole College of Management which includes the Jenkins graduate programs.

Weiss continued, “While exposing students to the world-leading expertise of the same faculty teaching NC State’s on-campus MBA programs, our online MBA’s asynchronous structure is a proven differentiator among active duty and veteran students.”

NC State Jenkins applications have increased more than 50 percent year-over-year, with plans for continued growth. The program is currently accepting applications for the Professional Online MBA program starting in January 2016. The NC State Jenkins MBA is available in three formats: full-time, professional evening and professional online.
