Undergraduates Can Prepare for Interviews with Online Practice Technology

“We are pleased to offer our students access to Interviewstream, a new technology that allows students to improve their interview skills in the privacy of their own homes,” she said. “With this software you will be able to choose a variety of interview questions, conduct a practice interview using these questions, then view and critique your interview responses and body language. After you have critiqued your interview, you may e-mail your interview to family and friends to gain their feedback,” she said.

To take full advantage of the new technology, students should use a webcam and a microphone. Students may conduct a practice interview as often as they wish. The Interviewstream site includes three videos that provide advice on how students can use the technology to their best advantage.

Students who did not receive an email message from Rakes with instructions for accessing the technology are asked to contact her through the Office of Undergraduate Programs, 2150 Nelson Hall; phone: 919.515.5565.
