Photoshelter: Poole College’s Photo Library

The Photoshelter is a digital photo management system implemented to improve access and searching experience for the NC State's Poole College of Management photo collection. Photos are organized thematically and then by year. Each photo has multiple keywords tagged to aid the photo search process. This photo archive is managed by the Marketing & Communications team.

Who can see and download photos in the Photoshelter?

Please keep in mind that the Photoshelter is a public website and anyone can access it, unless an album is protected by a password or hidden from the website.

The majority of the albums are open to anyone on the web, however, to download photos, you’ll need a password. Find the passwords here.

How to search for photos in the Photoshelter?

We have developed a set of keywords that will help you easily search for photos. When in Photoshelter, click Search from the top menu. The example of the search can include: “Commencement 2018” or “Showcase professional”. More keywords will be added over time.

Who manages the Photoshelter?

The Marketing and Communications team in the college is managing the Photoshelter. If you have any questions, please email us at pcom-marketing@ncsu.edu.

How can my department upload new photos there?

  • Please share best photos with a marketing team via email at pcom-marketing@ncsu.edu. Definition of best photos: Avoid 10 photos of one kind, blurry photos, etc. It will keep the photo library clean and organized.
  • Our team will upload and tag photos based on the current album organization and tagging guidelines.
