Areas of Support
Nelson Hall Classroom Technology Support
Computing Services staff will provide Classroom Technology (computer, audio system, touch panel, document camera, LCD projection, classroom capture system) support for the Nelson Hall classrooms. Classroom technology will be maintained and upgraded as needed. Staff will respond to troubleshooting requests as soon as possible. Documentation: Classroom Documentation [PDF]
Faculty needing to recording lectures to supplement classroom teaching have easy access to a lecture capture room located in 1421A Nelson Hall.
Classroom Technology Support in Other Facilities
Computing Services staff also provide classroom technical support that assures a quality teaching and learning experience in the classrooms throughout Nelson Hall, at the 2806 Hillsborough Street annex, and at the college’s MBA@ RTP location, in Research Triangle Park.
Orientation and Training
Orientation and training (“What’s What”) for classroom technology users will be provided at the beginning of each semester.
Moodle classroom management system
The college’s instructional technologist assists faculty who need training or assistance with the Moodle classroom management system.
Computing Labs Software Suite
Faculty members may email the lab administrator, Donna Barrett, email@example.com, to request new or upgraded software. Every reasonable attempt will be made to accommodate the request.
