NC State Poole College Represented at 2019 Global B Corp Academic Roundtable

The NC State Business Sustainability Collaborative demonstrated its commitment to the B Corp movement through leadership at the 2019 Global B Corp Academic Roundtable. 

The event gathered together researchers, educators, students, and representatives from B Corps who are interested in understanding the drivers, processes and outcomes of the B Corp movement. Attendees learned about topics such as relevant legislation to B Corps, employee-owned B Corps and comparisons among B Corps in various countries. 

Jessica Thomas, director of the Business Sustainability Collaborative and lecturer at NC State, served on the roundtable planning committee. Thomas also serves as the president of B Academics, the global network of educators and researchers that organized the roundtable event. 

This year marked the fourth annual Global B Corp Academic Roundtable. The event was hosted on Sept. 16 in Los Angeles, CA.
