Poole Students Place 2nd in Deloitte FanTAXtic Competition

From Nov. 7 to Nov. 8, the Poole College of Management was represented at the Deloitte FanTAXtic competition in Charlotte, North Carolina. The college was represented by two teams of students who competed against teams from the University of Georgia, the University of Mississippi and Florida State University. 

The competition was a mock case study where students had to give presentations of solutions to the judging panel of Deloitte tax professionals. This provided students with an opportunity to face a real-world problem addressing tax and business implications that were assigned to their case.

The teams were led by Jennifer Dirienzo, professor of practice and coordinator for the tax analytics and technology certificate. Team A from NC State placed second in the regional competition and will receive a regional honorable mention award.
