Work at Poole College

Why did you decide to join Poole College?

I was excited about the opportunity to join an MBA program that was relatively young and on such a positive trajectory, and I wanted to be a part of that story!

What do you see as the greatest strengths of Poole College?

Definitely the people! I truly appreciate how open, collaborative and willing the college is to try new things that include students, faculty and administration.

What advice would you give a staff member who has recently joined Poole College?

Take the time to connect with people across Poole as well as across campus. Everyone has something to contribute so be sure to invest in your network.

Professional Accomplishments

What project that you completed at Poole you are most proud of?

In May 2018, Poole College hosted the inaugural hooding ceremony for the graduating Jenkins Graduate students. Former Dean Ranft asked me to chair the planning committee and while it proved to be a lot of work to create a graduation ceremony from scratch, it was also one of the most fun and rewarding projects I’ve worked on in my professional career.

Life Outside of Poole

When you are not at Poole College, what do you enjoy doing for fun?

When not at work I enjoy spending time with my son who is nine years old, my husband and our dog. We enjoy all that the area has to offer including walking and biking trails. I live in Durham so enjoying a meal at one of the many great restaurants nearby is always a plus.
