Work at Poole College

Why did you decide to join Poole College?

I wanted to work in higher education with both domestic and international students.  The MBA Program offered me the opportunity to utilize both my student services and marketing skills.

What have you enjoyed most about your experience at Poole College?

I love NC State’s “Think and Do” philosophy and I am proud to be a part of a degree program that incorporates practical application with modern and relevant business/community needs.

Professional Accomplishments

What project that you completed at Poole you are most proud of?

In 2011 I was one of three Poole staff members who launched the Online MBA program, which now has our highest percentage of MBA student enrollment and growth. I have been a part of three CRM system integrations with the MBA prospects and was a part of the implementation of One Day to MBA.  More recently, I designed and implemented the first admissions rubric for application evaluation for the MBA program.

Life Outside of Poole

Where were you born and what countries/state/cities did you live it?

I have ended up living in state capitols including Austin, Texas, and Raleigh, North Carolina. I have also spent time living in Tokyo, Japan.

When you are not at Poole College, what do you enjoy doing for fun?

I love being involved with nonprofits that have both a local and international impact.  My favorite international nonprofit to work with is Kiva, an organization working to expand financial access to communities in need. I also work with the local nonprofit Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, and Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest charity evaluator.
