NC State Poole College of Management Announces Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management announces Jenny Hammond as the chief marketing and communications officer effective March 1. Hammond joined Poole College in 2017 and has most recently served as the interim director of marketing and communications and director of marketing for the Jenkins graduate programs. 

“Jenny has helped us achieve great success with our marketing and communication plan for the MBA program over the last several years and has done an outstanding job stepping in as the interim director of marketing and communications,” said Frank Buckless, Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of Poole College. “I am confident she will help us continue to enhance our local and national recognition as a world-class, innovative college of management that advances business and society. I look forward to continuing to work with Jenny as the chief marketing and communications officer.”

Moving forward, Hammond will continue to lead a central team of marketing and communications professionals, provide communications counsel to the dean and collaborate with college leadership to build effective marketing and communications strategies. 

Hammond has a diverse history in higher education which includes admissions, recruiting and marketing for multiple universities, including Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Elon University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Hammond received both her bachelor’s degree in communications and her master’s degree in higher education from Appalachian State University.
