Jeffrey Pollack Gives Expert Advice on Coffee Shop Ownership and Spending

Jeffrey Pollack, associate professor of entrepreneurship, was featured on WalletHub’s 2020 Best Coffee Cities in America and gives his expert opinion on coffee spending and coffee shop ownership in the current economy.

“I would not recommend an actual coffee shop as a first business—too much-fixed cost in overhead (e.g., rent, training employees, salaries, etc.),” said Pollack. “But a lower-cost alternative such as a coffee-style food truck (i.e., mobile vendor) could do very nicely as a first business.”
