NC State Jenkins MBA Announces ‘22-’23 McLauchlan Leadership Fellows

The Jenkins MBA Program at the Poole College of Management has announced its McLauchlan Leadership Fellows for the 2022 – 2023 academic year. The new Fellows will complete the McLauchlan Leadership Series during the spring 2023 semester. Students across the full-time, professional evening and professional online MBA programs applied for the competitive leadership development program.

The Leadership Series is designed to provide graduate-level leadership education through experiential learning. Based on the generous gift from Russ and Cara McLauchlan, over 200 Jenkins MBA students have been named McLauchlan Fellows and received their certificates of completion since 2015.

As McLauchlan Leadership Fellows, students are given opportunities to build their networks, receive executive coaching and master the fundamentals of personal, team and organizational leadership through three weekend sessions led by NC State faculty and selected experts.

“Navigating work and life during the pandemic and the great resignation has been extremely challenging for us all. I’m looking forward to working with the new McLauchlan Fellows to explore how leadership skills and behaviors can help us foster inclusion and empowerment and recover wellbeing in our lives, and the lives of others.” said Leigh Shamblin, director of leadership development and professor of practice at NC State Poole College of Management.

The 29 new McLauchlan Fellows bring a wide range of perspectives and career experience to the program, from military service to startups to Fortune 500 corporations. Poole College will honor the McLauchlan Fellows with a kickoff event and reception Friday, November 18.
