NC State’s Poole College of Management was named #15 on The Princeton Review’s Top 50 Online MBA Programs for 2027.

The Princeton Review particularly highlights the program’s strong value, flexible completion options and accessible professors. The technology-focused curriculum is also acknowledged, an especially notable feature as STEM and business continue to merge.

“The b-schools we name to our lists differ importantly in program offerings, specializations, requirements, and campus culture,” says Princeton Review Editor-in-Chief Rob Franek. “But they have foundational characteristics that are central to our selection criteria: strong academics, robust opportunities for experiential learning, excellent career services, and positive feedback from their customers, their very own students.”

The Princeton Review’s Top Online MBA ranking methodology combines student feedback with institutional data. The surveys examine more than 60 areas, including graduation rates, faculty credentials, career outcomes, academics and overall student satisfaction. Poole’s instructors are called “world-class” with one student noting “The standout professors are worth the price of admission alone.” Another says that “The administration and professors all have made additional effort to get to know me personally and assist me with navigating my career change.”

The “pragmatic nature of the instruction and its immediate applicability” received praise. Multiple students stated that the program directly led to promotions in their workplaces, with one saying, “The skills I have taken away from school have…allowed me to advance my career in two separate instances over my MBA program, thus almost doubling my salary from start to finish and tripling my total compensation.”

Other program features highlighted include study abroad opportunities, the networking-building Raleigh Residencies and the work-life balance benefits of the Flexible Path.
