On Tuesday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Poole College of Management students can drop by the Student\u00a0Commons in Nelson Hall for Bruegger’s, Duck Donuts, Jersey Mike’s, and H-Street Kitchen \u2014 and<\/em> support the Think and Do the Extraordinary Campaign.<\/p>\n

The Poole College Student Philanthropy Council is providing\u00a0students an early opportunity to give before the official NC State University Student Giving Day celebration on Wednesday, March 29. The Council will also host a table in Nelson Hall on that date from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\u00a0Students can also give at various campus locations, including Talley Student Union and online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Student Giving Day aims to establish a dialogue on campus about how philanthropy affects all 34,000 students at NC State. Poole College of Management Dean Annette Ranft has pledged a generous gift to the college if at least\u00a0200 students<\/strong> participate. It’s as easy as giving $20.17.<\/p>\n

“I try to explain that any amount makes a difference \u2013 whether that\u2019s five dollars, 10 dollars or 20 dollars \u2013 when collectively we all, as a student body, give back,” said Tyler Ligon<\/a>, president of the Poole College of Management Student Philanthropy Council.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally reflect on your time here as a student, and look around at the countless opportunities and great experiences you\u2019ve had here,\u201d Ligon said. \u201cDon\u2019t you want to give back to this wonderful school so that future students can have the same kind of opportunities you did \u2013 and hopefully better opportunities because of the money we all raised?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
